In thinner skin areas, the pigment can remain visible significantly longer, sometimes up to about 5 years<\/strong>, although a very light shadow may persist. <\/p>\n A touch-up is advisable when the existing PMU has faded significantly. If touch-ups are done too early or too frequently, pigment accumulation can occur, where the body can only process the pigment to a limited extent.
