However, there are differences: pigments containing iron oxide tend to become reddish or pinkish after some time. Carbon-based pigments may appear grayer over time, and those containing titanium dioxide may leave a white residue after healing. <\/p>\n Since almost all pigments contain at least one of these substances, the extent of color changes depends on the concentration of the ingredients and the technique used. If the pigment is applied too densely and saturated into the skin, color changes are often more visibly noticeable.
