As we are a permanent make-up studio, we are often asked whether we also do semi-permanent tattoos. We can understand these requests, but would like to explain transparently here why we refrain from doing so.

The permanent make-up technique is designed to work with very low saturation and natural shades, so that pigmentations change gently and fade over time. However, with this approach, lettering, symbols, or unnatural colors cannot be defined reliably and remain clearly visible in the long term. Therefore, even, aesthetically pleasing aging of such motifs cannot be guaranteed.

Natural motifs such as freckles or soft shading are technically different. Nevertheless, the same applies here: To make shapes clearly and stably visible, sufficient pigment must be introduced into the skin. The higher the amount of pigment, the more difficult it can be for the body to break it down again. For this reason, even with such work, it is not possible to promise complete disappearance after one or two years.
