Aftercare for eyebrow permanent make-up

The right aftercare is crucial to achieve the best possible result. Generally, two sessions are necessary for the best results. If you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, don't hesitate to contact us.

Important information on healing:

  • The color appears stronger and more sharply defined immediately after treatment.
  • Day 1-4: The color appears darker.
  • Day 4-7: Itching may occur and small pigmented flakes of skin may come off. This happens in irregular patches and is completely normal.
  • After the skin flakes have fallen off, the pigment may initially appear lighter. The final color develops over the course of the 4-week healing period.
  • After 2 weeks: The outer skin has healed and the true color becomes visible.
  • After 4 weeks: The inner skin layers are now also completely healed.

Slight irregularities in the color distribution are normal and can be adjusted in the second session (from week 6).

Normal symptoms in the first 4 days:

  • Slight swelling, redness and sensitivity
  • Dry, flaky skin while the eyebrows heal
  • Itching

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

  • Clean the eyebrows once a day with moistened cotton pads and/or mild cleanser
  • Apply a thin layer of the healing ointment from your kit 1-3 times a day using a cotton bud or clean hands. Use a new swab each time to avoid contamination.
  • Use the cream minimally, so apply a thin layer several times a day - less is more. Let your eyebrows breathe.
  • Brush the eyebrows carefully with a clean brush when flakes of skin come off by themselves.

We recommend these products for good healing:

WHAT YOU SHOULD AVOID:

  • Do not pick, scratch, rub or touch the eyebrows to avoid uneven healing and infection.
  • No make-up on the eyebrows for approx. 1 week (risk of infection!)
  • No thick layer of cream - too much cream causes the skin to swell
  • Do not immerse eyebrows under water for 1 week, a short shower is okay
  • No cosmetic treatments for 5 days
  • No hair removal (waxing, electrolysis, laser) in the eyebrow area for 2 weeks
  • Do not expose eyebrows to direct sunlight, tanning products, saunas, salt water, chlorine pools or direct shower jets for 2 weeks
  • Do not use any active cosmetics (acids, vitamins A and C, etc.) on or near the eyebrows for 2 weeks

Long-term care:

  • Use sunscreen (SPF 30 or 50), as sun exposure causes eyebrow pigmentation to fade more quickly
  • Information for you if you are planning a chemical peeling treatment, laser treatment or an MRI: the pigments used contain iron oxides, titanium dioxide and carbon. They are EU-certified and contain no heavy metals.
  • Inform the blood donor service, as you may not be allowed to donate blood for 4 months after the treatment.
  • Refresher treatments are recommended every 12 months to maintain the freshness of the pigmentation. Refresher treatments may be necessary earlier for oily skin, as sebum causes the pigment to fade more quickly.

Infection prevention: Proper care of your eyebrows is crucial to avoid infection during the healing process. Follow the instructions above carefully to protect your new eyebrows.

The treatment is sterile, all materials are disposable and the treatment room is thoroughly cleaned after each session. Should an infection occur, this is usually due to inadequate aftercare. If you notice yellow discharge in the treated area, please contact your doctor immediately to initiate antibiotic treatment.
