Guidelines

The artists at Pearl Tattoo Berlin must work with the condition the client brings, which means that sometimes 100% perfect symmetry or healed results cannot always be guaranteed due to volume issues, skin condition, etc. If you come to your appointment with a violation of the treatment guidelines (e.g. taking pain medication), the appointment will be canceled, the deposit will not be refunded and you will not be treated. Please read the following guidelines carefully.

Deposits for forward bookings

A deposit is required to book your appointment. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the service you have booked.

A deposit gives us the certainty that you take this appointment seriously and really intend to keep your appointment. The moment PEARL TATTOO receives the deposit, it becomes taxable. The deposit is therefore non-refundable.

You can find our terms and conditions here.

Postponement/ "No Shows"

If you would like to postpone your appointment, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance or have done so in the online booking system. A postponement after the 48-hour deadline requires a new deposit and retention of the old deposit. In the event of repeated postponements, a new deposit may be required.

In the case of so-called "no-shows", i.e. appointments canceled without prior notice, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the service price.

Touch-up session

Re-piercing is not always necessary because every skin is different. Re-pigmentation is not included in the initial appointment and takes place 6 to 12 weeks after the initial appointment. Touching up/reworking a foreign pigmentation is a new treatment and can be refused.

A follow-up treatment after 12 weeks is a refresher.

Unpunctuality

We understand that punctuality is not always possible, so please let us know via WhatsApp if you are going to be late. However, if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, your appointment will be canceled and the deposit will be forfeited. If you would like to make a new appointment, a new deposit will be required. Please plan your schedule accordingly to arrive on time for your appointment.

Price increases

Prices and conditions agreed at the time of the appointment remain valid.

General

If you have an old foreign pigmentation, please send a clear photo without make-up by email or Whatsapp before you book your appointment. This way we can make sure that you are a suitable candidate for these procedures.

Everyone heals differently and different factors can lead to different results. Results are extremely dependent on the healing process and vary for each individual. Certain results or color preferences for tattoos cannot be guaranteed (especially for individuals with dark or cool toned lips, problematic skin, or when covering up an old tattoo). Multiple sessions may be required to achieve a specific desired result.

All services provided are non-refundable.

Herpes

If you suffer from cold sores, you can still have your lips tattooed. There are just a few things you need to bear in mind:

If you have had cold sores before (even if it was 20 years ago!), you SHOULD take anti-viral medication to prevent an outbreak or reduce the severity of an outbreak if it occurs. Please consult your GP about which medication to consider. If a herpes outbreak occurs, this can lead to a change in the tattoo. Without taking anti-viral medication, virus carriers have a 95% chance of an outbreak on the 3rd day after pigmentation.

Exclusion criteria:

  • Minority (consent forms will not be accepted)
  • Breastfeeding and expectant mothers
  • Bleeders or when taking blood-thinning medication and other agents (e.g. painkillers).
  • Taking drugs
  • External pigmentation without prior consultation
  • Wounds, rash in the area to be treated

Precare

Do NOT take any painkillers or caffeinated drinks before your appointment. Caffeinated drinks and painkillers cause heavy bleeding and make you more sensitive to pain during the procedure.

The treatment must not be carried out during a rash, herpes outbreak or other wound in the area to be treated. If you suffer from herpes, please read the relevant section below.

Lip injections should be avoided 8 weeks before lip pigmentation. Tattooing promotes the breakdown of fresh hyaluronic acid.

To achieve the best results, please make sure that the skin, especially the lip skin, is not dry at the appointment. Please avoid lipsticks as they dry out the lips and apply a lip cream instead (Aquaphor, etc.).

Eyebrow hairs should not be plucked before the appointment, but can be done during the appointment if desired.

Please read the Aftercare and adjust your schedule according to the healing phase. There is a downtime for each procedure.
